Five-Year Goals

Our objectives are:

1 To improve research outputs and impacts across all areas of the University and position MU among global leaders in our selected beacons of research excellence
2 To ensure all students have a flexible and enriching educational experience and graduate with future-focused skills
3 To create an innovative model for integrated student support services with a physical and digital ‘One-Stop Shop’
4 To establish a Graduate Research Academy to support significant growth in research student numbers and create a supportive environment for research students
5 To enable significant and sustainable growth in international and postgraduate taught students, and build on our strong undergraduate portfolio with moderate growth in domestic undergraduate numbers
6 To establish a School of Health and Medicine to support new models of health workforce development
7 To establish a clear ‘front door’ for external engagement to facilitate partnership with alumni, donors, enterprise, industry, government and communities
8 To develop a strategic approach to internationalisation, with a focus on staff and student mobility and engagement, development of strategic partnerships and student recruitment
9 To invest in a sustainability-led approach to developing our campus experience, infrastructure, facilities, simplified technology enabled processes and increased data capacity
10 To improve our ability to invest at scale by diversifying income streams, creating reserves, and leveraging borrowing and financial facilities
